Silicon Valley -- S1E1 -- "Minimum Viable Product"

Is Big-Hollywood noticing the Silicon Valley?

HBO just released a made-for-cable-series, "Silicon Valley" that may not be the first indication of Hollywood's recent interest. Watch premiere episode: Silicon Valley -- S1E1 -- Minimum Viable Product.

A feature-length comedy movie, "The Internship" spotlights Google, googlers, functional nerd-y-ness, high-achievers (not necessarily a pun), and contemporary corporate culture in the Bay Area Region -- generally.

Also, a TV series for Amazon Prime subscribing members, "Betas" envisions a hoodie-culture version of Silicon Valley entrepreneurial start-up companies that compete in and beyond San Francisco.

Goodnight, Mr. Letterman
Stephen Colbert will replace David Letterman as host of the "Late Show" in 2015.

(Excerpt) "Colbert has signed a five-year agreement with CBS, according to an official announcement... 'Stephen Colbert is one of the most inventive and respected forces on television'... Colbert added: 'Simply being a guest on David Letterman’s show has been a highlight of my career. I never dreamed that I would follow in his footsteps... Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go grind a gap in my front teeth.'”

Note to some former staffers during the President G.W. Bush administration: Stephen Colbert's on-stage conservative intellectual persona is an act -- rarely complimentary to actual conservative thinkers.
