2020 Democrat (tie-less) presidential candidate Andrew Yang

In Silicon Valley, it is unintentionally true a majority of the time that individual startup tech companies do not make more money than they spend. Seldom can an entrepreneurial venture that uses money in this way be considered a success, or even exist. Fortunately and ironically, a few tech startups and investors in Silicon Valley are wildly successful.

A Yang platform plank: Universal Basic Income
The entrepreneurial Yang is especially concerned with automation of work and the impact on the workforce in America. He thinks his proposals for universal basic income (UBI) and a value-added tax (VAT) will help those displaced by automation to readjust to the changing economy. Who knows, along with others at the bottom end of the income spectrum, UBI might even help employees and CEOs of failed startups.

Freedom Dividend: UBI
(Excerpt) "Andrew Yang is running for President as Democrat in 2020 to implement the Freedom Dividend. This form of UBI [Universal Basic Income] that he is proposing for the United States is a set of guaranteed payments of $1,000 per month, or $12,000 per year, to all U.S. citizens over the age of 18. Yes, that means you and everyone you know would get another $1,000/month every month from the U.S. government, no questions asked."
