Reality TV programing content may be coming from outer space -- even another planet. Selected and vetted human ambassadors may be sent on a one-way journey through space, possibly never returning to Earth. The Earth-based team at the non-profit organization Mars One has set out a vision for the colonization of Mars -- with a global audience.

(Excerpt) "Mars One will establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. Crews of four will depart every two years, starting in 2024. Our first unmanned mission will be launched in 2018. Participate in this mission to Mars through our crowdfunding campaign."
