110th United States Congress

The 110th Congress is now over.
The U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives have been meeting in Washington D.C. since January 3, 2007 and ended today, January 3, 2009.

There were over 500 individually elected members of this 110th Congress. The Senate and the House leaders maintained many committees and sub-committees within that membership. Maybe at least two of these committees are worth remembering:

Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee
Congressman Christopher Dodd (D-CT), Chairman
House Financial Services Committee
Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA), Chairman

Elected members of the 110th Congress that controlled congressional committees had lots of responsibility to ensure that many things in our government and private sector functioned correctly. Maybe at least two of these things are worth remembering:

Fannie Mae
Freddie Mac
