Ice in that (purchased) beverage?

This is a fine example of Prague dining. We had meals in several restaurants just as good. It wouldn’t have mattered if it was a sausage stand in Wenceslas Square or a gyro snack bar near a tram stop -- beverages are without ice.

And if water is requested, you’re probably buying mineral water unless you thought to say still water. Take an empty bottle to a restroom faucet to get free tap water. Beverages are purchased -- about $2 USD.

Free ice can be requested. The server may provide, to the middle of the table for all to use, a single glass filled with only ice and a spoon. Dig in
